Ingredients for 16 breadsticks: 2 sheets ready rolled puff pastry100 g aged pecorino cheese50 g fresh pecorino cheese2 tbsp milk
Lay one sheet of puff pastry out on your work surface, brush it with the milk, then sprinkle the finely grated aged pecorino and coarsely grated (using the larger holes in the grater) fresh pecorino over the entire surface. Place the second sheet of pastry on top and, to make sure it adheres well, press down lightly with the palms of your hands. Using a pastry wheel along the shorter side, cut it into strips about 1 cm wide. Twist each strip into a spiral and arrange them on a baking tray lined with greaseproof paper. Bake them in a preheated oven, at 180 °C, for 15 minutes.
These delicious breadsticks are great to nibble whenever you like, either on their own or accompanied by a sauce of your choice.
