Fruity aromas and mineral sapidity characterise the grapes used for this wine, which comes from vineyards situated between the sea and the hills, near the town of Jesi in the Marche region. Two separate harvests were carried out here as well due to the weather in 2024, with two processes used for vinification. The fist grapes were picked on hot, dry days with a high concentration of sugar and extracts; the others reached the winery after the rainfall in late August, fresher and with a high degree of acidity. The two – very different – base wines obtained fermented separately and where then blended at the end of December. After which, light bâtonnage kept the nobler lees in suspension in the Verdicchio.
Tasting – Colour: crystal clear straw yellow, with slight greenish highlights. The nose: fruity aromas of white peach and elderflower, fine citrussy hints of citron and grapefruit. In the mouth: fresh and acidic, pleasantly sapid and very drinkable, also due to the moderate alcohol content.
Wine and Food Pairing – It happily accompanies seafood, but also delicate dishes “from the land” and vegetables in general... pasta dishes with fish or shellfish (linguine with clams), leek risotto, fusilli with pesto, a mushroom carpaccio, it’s also excellent with a white pecorino and asparagus pizza.
Awards – Gold Medal at the Challenge International du Vin 2025, Bourg, France – 91/100 points at 5Star Wines 2025 - Vinitaly, Verona, Italy.
