Perhaps due to its unusual grape blend, or to the fact that it’s neither white nor rosé, neither sparkling nor still, NubeRosa is a wine that has gained innumerable fans in recent years. In a unique soul, it combines the creaminess of Chardonnay, the freshness of Trebbiano, and the fruity aromas of Pinot Nero, to which it owes its slightly pink colour. The 2023 season was difficult and characterised by a lower yield of grapes; those harvested, however, were well developed and full of pulp. The rainfall, even though alternated with periods of extreme heat, ensured that the grapes remained nice and turgid. The fermentation of NubeRosa is stopped by cooling the wine, in order to preserve the few remaining grammes of sugar and the delicious natural effervescence that characterises it.
Tasting – Colour: intense straw-yellow with a very slight hint of pink. The nose: aromas of white-fleshed fruit, above all apple and walnut in the finish. In the mouth: soft, very slightly sparkling, light in both its alcohol content and extraction.
Wine and Food Pairing – In the glass it has the charm of an aperitif, but it also makes good company for seafood starters, pasta with zucchini and pecorino cheese, gnocchi with prawns and cherry tomatoes, frittata and grilled vegetables. It goes well with bruschetta prepared with Carciofina, with Tuscan kale or with tomatoes, as well as being excellent with delicate fish dishes.
