A sauce that’s famous and “a big hit” in Italy, named after the town of Amatrice, in Lazio, where it was created. Besides being a good match with pasta (long, short, semi wholegrain or normal), it’s delicious for crostini, omelettes and pan-cooked vegetables, and to “boost” the flavour of other sauces such as Pomarola, Rosmarina, Bombolino Sauce.
To enjoy the sauce at its best, simmer over a medium heat for a couple of minutes.
Ingredients: Tomatoes, Bacon (lardons), Onion, Extra virgin olive oil, White wine, Black pepper, Salt of Trapani I.G.P.
