It’s always nice to “pizzicare” (= pick at) something from a table laden with delicious, simple, genuine titbits such as the Pecorino Abbucciato with Pepper, a cheese that has the aroma – and flavour! – of herbs and flowers from our meadows, and a tempting “peppery” taste, the Sun-dried Cherry Tomatoes, seasoned with garlic, chilli pepper, basil and oregano, and the flavoursome Fennel Sausages, without nitrites, nitrates, hormones or antibiotics, simply seasoned with the Fattoria’s mixture of herbs and spices. To enjoy with all the other specialities, there are the crispy, spicy Quadrelli, baked in the wood-burning oven, to spread with “fiery” Piccantissima that tastes of bell peppers and tomatoes, or the Spicy Chopped Olives with Herbs…. and ready to drink there’s the sparkling Cuvée Initiale Metodo Classico, fresh, citrussy, dry and aged for 24 months on its lees, as well as a nice glass of an elegant, soft and full-bodied red wine, the Barriccato 2020.
